NURASHIKIN ISMAIL - FOOD AND BEVERAGES OPERATIONS MANAGER
Nurashikin or better known as Shikin has been handling the Food & Beverage operations for over 4 years. She started her career in the Theme Park Industry, followed by experience working at an educational nature park before venturing into the Food & Beverage/Hospitality industry. She grew up in a traditional background and this has been a wonderful advantage to her position here at Heritage Central Cafe.
SALIM HAJI PAWI - SOUS CHEF
Chef Salim started his career as a kitchen helper at a Mediteranean fine dining restaurant, after completing his Diploma in Culinary Arts at a resort in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. After years of experience, he eventually reached a more senior position as Sous Chef. His career extends internationally with different Hilton locations including Kuching, Malacca, Singapore, Thailand and Abu Dhabi. His work is recognisable with Hilton’s Worldwide Brand Standard.
He is recognised for high guest satisfaction rates and incredible Fine Dining experience, winning best restaurant to dine in recognised by Tatler Malaysia. His field of expertise is not limited to Fine Dining - he is experienced in Italian, Western and Mediterranean cuisines but most important of all he is a proud Sarawakian and is very familiar with local Sarawakian traditional cuisine. He seeks to revive old food customs that are difficult to cultivate, maintaining rustic heartwarming dishes unique to Sarawak.
AHMAD AFIQ ZAHIN - CHEF DE PARTIE (BANQUET CATERING)
Ahmad Afiq better known as Chef Afiq, completed his Diploma Culinary Arts and Malaysian Certificate Level 2 in Food Preparation years before working for Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) in a Commis 1 role. With over 4 years of working experience, Chef Afiq expertises in Western, Cold Kitchen, Middle Eastern and local heritage cuisines. He is now mainly in charge of the catering side of the cafe.

MOHD ZULFIKA - COMMIS 1
Chef Zulfika is a master in Asian and local heritage cuisine. Zulfika or Apik commenced his career in an internationally-recognised hotel here in Kuching.
Apik joined the Heritage Central Cafe as a Commis 3 but eventually made his way to Commis 1 early this year. He is able to delegate duties and lead his team of Commis 2s and 3s in the kitchen with full confidence! He takes pride in his creations and is overall a positive influence!
NORSHAKILA MAHDA - BARISTA
Norshakila or Ella, is an expert in making quality beverages. She has 5 years of experience in preparing hot beverages.
